This week’s cat blogging is going to be early, and all about Athena. You can read all about her here, so I will forgo much of the back story that goes along with some of these photographs, and just give a quick comment for each instead.

So there are but a few of the many pictures I took of Athena during her short life. I am so happy I bought the digital camera when I did because it enabled me to take as many pictures as I want without fear of wasting any film. I saved every picture I ever took of Athena, good and bad, and I am glad that I did.
Beautiful.

Makes me really miss my cat. I haven't seen him in six months and probably never will again. I hope he's okay. The ex and her kid always overfed him and I had to dump out half the food they'd pour in his bowl. I expect he must weigh about 25 pounds by now, without me seeing to his diet. Poor guy. (It's always the "kids" who suffer most through a divorce.) I can tell that you took really good care of Athena.

Thank you so much for sharing those. I think Athena is one of the most striking cats I've ever seen, and I know from my own experience, that it can be painful going through pictures such as this.
I wanted you to know that I value you as a friend, and I do understand.
