My mother-in-law has been staying with us, and along with her comes her little dog, Pedie.
Pedie has grown up in a home without the benefit of other dogs, so she was a bit nervous when she first came to stay with us. But Jackie and Angel have helped her adjust, and now she feels right at home...
Check in next week for a new chapter in The Adventures of Angel and Jacqueline. And don't forget to check out the Carnival of the Dogs at Mickey's Musings, and the Friday Ark at The Modulator for more interesting animals.
You know what?
I was walking thru the neighborhood this morning and a tiny dog like Pedie was following me all happy wagging his tiny tail.
I'm sure he should not have been out on the street and I was saying, no puppy...go home
Part of me wanted to just scoop him up and bring him with me to play with The Boyz.
But
Luckily the owner came out of his house and said, get your butt back in here Pedro..lol.
Pedie is way cute...:)
What kind of puppy is Pedie? She is adorable. Love those naps.
Posted by: srp at April 22, 2006 10:46 AMHi Jeff,
I am so happy that Jacqueline is okay. I didn't read any of this until today, so I am glad there is a happy ending already. I would have been so worried. I think it is a pet owner thing; we love them so much.
Hi from Willow and me.
Posted by: Ashley at April 22, 2006 11:59 AMPJ,
I recently had almost the exact same thing happen! I was in front of a house while walking our dogs, and this small dog a lot like Pedie was just sitting right at the front door. We approached him, and he went nuts twirling in place like a dervish. I knocked on the door, and a lady answered. She looked at me and started to ask what I wanted, then she saw her dog. She said “Richie! Get in here!” She then told me Richie gets out through the backyard once in a while. Funny.
Srp,
Pedie is a Chihuahua mix. I say "mix" only because I am unsure of her lineage. She might be a pure bred for all I know, but I think her snout is a bit long for a true pure bred. She is a bundle of energy though, and quickly wears out poor Jackie!
Ashley,
Thanks for stopping by! You’re right about a pet owner’s love. Like a love one has for their child, or their parent, or their spouse, or their sibling, it is a unique relationship with a unique brand of love, and the value of that love is comparable to all the others.
I LOVE my pets.
Oh my! You must have been horrifed Jeff. I know I would be. Pedie is a beautiful Chihuahua. No doubt on my part that she is a purebred. The CKC would need to see some pics and I bet they would say the same thing. How much does she weigh? She looks like she's a bit heavier than Jackie.

Posted by: Simply Coll at April 24, 2006 8:56 PMJeff.. I just read your post on poor little Jackie's accident. I am so very sorry to hear what happened and am so relieved that the sweet little girl is doing better. How very scary this must have been for you. ((Hugs))
