Like most everyone else, there is sort of an evening ritual associated with going to bed around our house. It usually begins with me taking our two heroes outside so that they can go potty. Afterwards I bring them both upstairs to our bedroom, brush my teeth or do whatever I need to do to prepare for bed.
Angel and Jacqueline are very much like little human kids, and one of the more obvious similarities they share with human kids is how they act at bedtime. Just like a little kid struggles to stay up late at night, or tries to convince his parents to let him stay up "just a little longer", Angel and Jackie run around and play with each other when they should be lying in their beds asleep. But, I am a patient person, and so I will watch a little TV, or read a book for a while as they wear themselves out.
So, today we will look at a few pictures of a typical evening just before bed with Angel and Jacqueline. (With a special appearance by Thalia, their favorite feline sister.)
Check in next week for a new chapter in The Adventures of Angel and Jacqueline. And don't forget to check out the Carnival of the Dogs at Mickey's Musings, and the Friday Ark at The Modulator for more interesting animals.

Posted by: Sir Ian Cognito at July 14, 2006 10:41 AMA family my parents knows had a little toy poodle. Every night they would say "Time for bed" and he would go fetch his little pajamas. All they had to do then was say "Go get in bed" and he trotted in their room and got in his bed basket. I've never had a dog that calm. Now Max, he does like to sleep in his carrier in the same room with the cats. But, I wouldn't be able to keep his door open. Besides he seems more calm and secure when it's shut and it is a huge carrier.
