Breakfast with Angel and Jackie in the New House

Those of you who are of above average intelligence may notice a theme in my recent posts. For those of you who aren't sure what I am talking about, you need to pay better attention!

I wonder when it is no longer proper to refer to our new house, as our new house? I suppose I can get away with it for quite some time, especially given how much it costs me to live in that new house.

Anyway, we are still finding places for all the stuff we have accumulated over the past seven years, and though the house now looks furnished, I still have a garage full of boxes. Every day I try to get one box at random from the garage, and put whatever is inside of it away in the house. In between that I am receiving repair-persons, delivery-persons, and installation-persons. This of course leaves little time for photographing our little friends, Jackie and Angel. And believe it or not, I still do not even have Internet service in the house. I am going to look into that today, and so I should have it in the house by next week.

But, you don't care about that, you come here primarily to see cute pictures of cute doggies doing cute things. So, lets get on with that.

Before we do, I would like to say that I will be affording the cats equal time here as soon as we get them better situated in the house. I have yet to install their pet-door into the garage, so the three of them aren't really available for photo ops. When they are, I will post a few.

It occurred to me when I took this picture this morning that it looks very much like the breakfast pictures I took at the condo. The reason is the flooring. This picture was taken in the area adjacent to the kitchen that used to be a small dining nook, and at some point they put in this laminate flooring. When the addition was built, the former owners also added cabinets in this area for added storage. I am not sure when the flooring was put in, but even though it is about the same color as what we had before, it is of much higher quality than what I put in the condo. I mentioned before that Jackie was brought up on laminate flooring. When we brought her home we had no carpet and hardly any rugs in our condo. Since the move, Jackie has come to LOVE the wall to wall carpeting. Every morning as I get their food ready,Jackie sits right there on that rug in the kitchen. She only goes on the flooring to eat, or to check on the cats in the garage. Otherwise she is resting on the warm, soft carpet. They do so enjoy their new little breakfast area. We had some extra time this morning, so we played a short game of catch, and tug-o-war. I toss the toy down the hall, and the two of them bring it back. Angel wrests it away from Jackie, and then I wrest it away from him. Then we start all over again. Jackie is quicker than Papa, so she usually gets to the toy first. She will sometimes stare down Angel. Other times he grabs an end and they bring it back together. See? Jackie decided to keep the toy for herself, so the game ended. This is just a picture of the first fire we had in our new home. It has nothing to do with Jackie and Angel. I just wanted to add it for the fun of it.
