I didn't have the pictures I used for my new digital frame with me yesterday when I wrote about it, so I used something I found off of the Internet. Today, however, is a different story, so I put together three animated gifs to show you what my digital frame sort of looks like. I say "sort of" because you can't change the slide shows settings to any slower than three seconds between pictures. What I am trying to achieve, again for those of you who have never visited Disneyland or the Haunted Mansion, and you should be ASHAMED of yourself,) is the effect of the portraits changing in sync with flashes of lightning during a storm. You see, it is perpetually gloomy at the Haunted Mansion, and there is ALWAYS a raging storm outside. As you walk down this particular hallway, there are windows through which you can see the lightning of the storm flash, and on the opposite side of the corridor are the changing portraits. There are five altogether, but I could only track down three suitable sets from which to make my own.
So there ya have it, a wee bit of the Haunted Mansion for you to enjoy. This project has inspired me to go to Disneyland and visit my favorite attraction. I just need to scrape together so cash. But I will do it, I am just DYING to go!
Posted by Jeff at April 10, 2007 2:29 PMHaving been able to visit both Disneyland and Disney world I have been in both Haunted Mansion some years ago. It sure impressed me and my kids. I wish I had the stamina to do it again.
Posted by: momma at April 10, 2007 5:53 PMIt's getting harder and harder for me to go. If it weren't for being able to sit down on the rides after walking and standing in line, I wouldn't be able to take it. My neck and back just cannot take that sort of abuse.
I also wouldn't be able to go if it weren't for modern pharmacology. My painkillers really earn their keep on days when I go to Disneyland!

I think your digital frames are amazing.
